Absolutely Nothing to Blog About

Over the past few months, my life has fallen into a very careful rhythm.  Every morning, I wake up at exactly 6:53 (weird time, but I have my morning routine scheduled down to the minute and this tends to get me to school on time) and look out my window at another fairly bleak, cold, Cleveland-winter-grey morning.  I go to school, just going through the motions, completing various assignments and enjoying the casual monotony of my life.  This is the major reason it took me about a half an hour to decide what to blog about.  Lately, my life has become somewhat of a blur, composed of school, some sleep here and there, and the extremely depressing and freezing temperatures that define winter here in Ohio.
However, this week, a slight change occurred.  Numerous countdowns began.  Days left of school, days until spring break, days until OGT week.  This made me realize that the winter monotony was nearing its end.  We are crawling closer to Blossom, Prom, and, wild as it may seem, graduation and our last summer before college.  When looking at my timeline until these dates as a whole, this last stretch of winter monotony seems a bit more manageable.  But until these changes start taking place and the winter thaw finally warms up our surroundings, I guess I’ll continue to blog about this blur, which, although it is quite boring, is also comfortable and familiar, ideas that will seem quite distant in the coming months of change.

  1. Brooke, I have to say that I agree with most of your assertions here. I feel as if the only things keeping my brain functioning at this point are AP classes. Which is strange because at the same time, I could argue that these AP classes are destroying my brain from the inside-out. Either way, somehow we ended up in March already, which has already flown by to about its halfway point. Life really is a blur right now for us, and now that you have pointed this out, I think I'm going to try and cherish it all a little bit more than I am. P.S. I cannot WAIT for Blossom!
