Blog Thoughts

The processing of blogging for AP English has grown and changed since we began this assignment a few months ago.  What started as a simple continuation of in-class analysis has evolved to include daily blog banter, heated debate, and fascinating discussion about a huge variety of topics.  And overall, I feel like this project has been extremely enlightening.  As the weeks went on, I felt more comfortable in picking what to write about- although it often took me a while to figure out what to discuss, I loved the freedom to discuss and analyze practically anything that came to my mind.  Having many motivated individuals doing the same inspired enthralling and well analyzed topics, making the project, for the most part, truly enjoyable.  I feel my biggest problem with the blogs was self imposed- by waiting until Sunday night to blog, as I often did, I struggled to figure out what to analyze.  If we continued this assignment into next semester, I feel like I would personally write better if we had one weekly blog due Thursdays; this way, it would be easier to respond to class discussion while still giving us the opportunity to be creative in our approaches to blogging.  I definitely hope we continue to blog next semester- I like being connected as a group and continuing discussion outside of class and feel we benefit from the thought provoking posts of our peers.

  1. Brooke, I remember the day we sat next to each other in class and picked out your adorable chick background! It was a stressful decision, but nothing compared to the choice on a title. We've come so far... I share in your appreciation for the blogs, they have created so much more depth in discussion than the in-class point scrambles.
