Reggie (Everything Matters) cuts in front of Lane (The Importance of Being Earnest) at Giant Eagle.
L: Excuse me, sir, I believe you have accidentally stepped into my place in the line. You see, I am in quite the rush, as my employer, Algernon, is in great need of cucumbers.
R: What? “Pay more attention to what’s going on with cripple people!” (109) I don’t care about you and your rich fool’s cucumbers! I’m on my way to blow up a building, and I need to keep going man!
L: I’m very sorry for your predicament, sir, but I really do insist you move. It just is not earnest to cut in line!
R: Maybe YOU don’t understand! This isn’t about timing, it’s about your horrible attitude towards me since I’m in a wheel chair! This is about people “treatin’ disabled people better!” (108) You hear me?
L: “I didn’t think it polite to listen, sir” (1)
R: Oh, I see how this is gonna be… well, then, I’m gonna get real weird with it!
Reggie pushes himself out of his chair and lunges for Lane’s throat. They brawl for approximately 20 minutes, creating quite the scene. After Lane finally defeats his foe, he stands up.
L: This, my friends, “is not a very interesting subject” (2). I am done arguing with you.
He proceeds to the checkout in front of Reggie and leaves the store with his cucumbers. Reggie eventually gets up and heads outside to Junior’s car, when they travel to the bank, preparing to blow it up. Reggie is even angrier than before at the world, while Lane is merely elated to have the cucumbers. When he returns home, he gets to work preparing the sandwiches.
